Note : Please ensure that you have suitable travel insurance that covers you, should you test positive for COVID 19 prior or during your tour. For peace of mind, we suggest a policy that includes cancellation cover, should you need to cancel at the last minute.

Code of Conduct Guidelines

As part of our Risk Assessment and processes, we have developed some guidelines for a Code of Conduct for ourselves, our guests and accommodation providers. We will ask you to agree to follow these guidelines, as part of our Booking Conditions.

You can read our Code of Conduct Guidelines here.

Bikes and equipment cleaning

We have a handling and cleaning protocol in place for all of our bikes, support van and equipment.

Helmets will no longer be provided. Guests are requested to bring their own helmet if they wish to wear one.

Fit to travel

We've taken all possible precautions to limit the possible risks posed by Covid 19 and we ask our guests to help too by:

  • Following latest Government advice

  • Completing a health declaration before your holiday commences.

  • Not starting your holiday, if you are displaying any of the possible signs of COVID 19 – even if you feel fit and well.

  • Following protocols that have been put in place for your safety and that of others.

  • Frequently washing your hands well with soap and water or hand sanitiser when this is not possible

  • Practicing safe distancing

  • Notifying ourselves, your accommodation provider and Track and Trace as soon as possible if you develop any possible COVID-19 symptoms.

Welcome and bike handover

Our handovers have always been conducted outside. Although handshakes are out, a very warm welcome is still guaranteed. Bike touch-points will be sanitised when the bikes are unloaded and before handover.

With our guidance, we're asking guests to get a little more hands on with adjustments to the saddle height and working the GPS. Don't worry – we have a separate protocol if this proves challenging!

Your map and route guides will have been printed and placed in a plastic folder 48 hours before the start of your journey. We can also provide an electronic copy before your arrival.

Accommodation

We have always been very selective choosing the accommodation included in your cycling holiday. Most are luxurious small B&Bs or hotels, who are passionate about their high levels of cleanliness, comfort and service and where there will be few, if any other guests.

Each hotel has undertaken their own Risk Assessment and will have their own protocol to minimise risk for guests. Wherever possible, we will only use accommodation providers that have the Visit England "Good to Go" standard or similar.

Guests are requested to follow the protocol of each individual accommodation provider.

Please notify us if you would like further information prior to your holiday.

On your cycling or walking holiday

Our walking and cycling holidays offer a gentle and relaxing activity in beautiful countryside. It's the perfect way to enjoy some fresh air and healthy exercise. Thankfully, we have miles of beautiful and tranquil countryside to explore. The National Forest region remains largely undiscovered by mass tourism and so is perfect for social distancing.

Your cycling or walking holiday is self-guided and you will only cycle with your own group, thus limiting the risk of transmission. In addition, we mainly use small but very comfortable accommodation, which helps limit the number of people that you might come into contact with.

Guests can be reassured that we have undertaken a full review of the business procedures and implemented a COVID19 Risk assessment, which can be viewed here. We have taken all possible actions and precautions to minimise the risks of exposure to or contraction of COVID19 during your cycling holiday and also gained the Visit England “Good to Go” standard.

Attractions
Unlike other parts of England, the National Forest has yet to be discovered by mass tourism. Many of the attractions in the National Forest area are outside, where social distancing will be easy. The region also has some fabulous smaller attractions, where often you will share the space with just a handful of other guests.

Face Coverings
Some accommodation providers or attractions may request visitors to use a face covering. Please bring appropriate face coverings with you on your cycling holiday.

Cleaning along the way
We will provide an aerosol cleaner and sanitiser for you to use on the bike touch-points during your stay. Please bring your own hand sanitiser
